Performance Marketing & Meta Ads Resume Guide for Entry-Level Marketers in Pakistan

A performance marketing resume should explain what you did with a campaign, how results were measured and which decisions were yours. For an entry-level role in Pakistan, a clear practice case study can be more credible than a claim to have scaled budgets you never controlled.

This guide focuses on paid advertising and reporting. The broader digital marketing guide covers content, freelance work and portfolios; the e-commerce operations guide covers store workflows rather than media buying.

Describe your level of Meta Ads experience

Separate learning, assisting and independently managing a campaign. None should be presented as another. Read the actual performance marketing executive or media buyer vacancy before choosing skills for the resume.

Your evidenceAccurate description
Completed a course and drafted an ad planTraining and a labelled practice campaign brief
Assisted a colleague with reports or approved creativeYour specific reporting or coordination contribution
Ran a live campaign with permissionObjective, period, spend, your actions and supported results
Managed budgets across clientsActual scope and responsibilities, without revealing confidential details

Meta Blueprint's beginner Ads Manager course covers campaign setup and reporting. Completing learning material is useful context, but it is not evidence that you managed a client's spend.

List only tasks you can discuss: preparing a brief, checking approved creative, setting up a campaign under supervision, reading a report or investigating missing measurement information. Do not add every platform feature as a skill.

Put budget and results in context

For a live campaign, include the reporting period, currency, metric definition, reporting source and your role. Separate a budget planned from money actually spent, and distinguish total account performance from a campaign you assisted.

ROAS relates attributed revenue or conversion value to advertising spend. Google Ads' official explanation shows the value-to-spend calculation. It explains the concept; it does not validate a Meta campaign's tracking or establish a benchmark for Pakistani employers.

In a fictional exercise, PKR 24,000 of attributed revenue divided by PKR 10,000 of spend equals 2.4x ROAS. That is arithmetic, not proof of profit. Product costs, refunds and other expenses are not included in that ratio. Nor does attributed revenue by itself prove the advertising caused every sale.

ClaimContext needed
Managed PKR 100,000Period, currency, actual spend versus allocated budget, and your decision authority
Achieved 2.4x ROASMeasurement source, reporting period, attribution basis and whether value means revenue
Reduced cost per leadComparable periods, lead definition, volumes and the changes you personally made

These are illustrative claims, not results to copy. Use the campaign's actual attribution settings when reporting its figures; do not assume a permanent default. If tracking was incomplete, state the limitation instead of presenting a precise return.

Show decisions rather than claiming every improvement

A useful bullet describes an action and what you learned. For example: “Prepared a weekly campaign report, checked missing purchase values and escalated the discrepancy before interpreting returns.” If true, this can show care even without a dramatic growth percentage.

For team campaigns, identify whether you wrote copy, prepared assets, configured ads, monitored spend or reviewed results. A before-and-after comparison alone does not establish that your change caused the difference.

Keep client budgets, account identifiers, audiences and customer records private unless sharing is permitted. A redacted case study still needs appropriate permission if it contains client work.

Build a beginner case study without pretending it was live

You can create a fictional campaign brief without spending money. State the product, audience hypothesis, objective, creative approach, proposed budget and measurement plan. Explain how you would compare alternatives, not what imaginary ads supposedly achieved.

A compact case-study outline is:

  1. Brief and constraints: what the campaign is intended to support.
  2. Your contribution: research, copy, assets or reporting plan.
  3. Planned measurement: definitions, data source and checks needed.
  4. Outcomes: verified results for live work, or clearly labelled assumptions for practice.
  5. Limitations and next steps: what the evidence cannot establish.

A proposed budget is a plan, not money managed. Do not describe simulated ROAS as client performance. If you later work on a real campaign, replace assumptions only when reliable records support the update.
