Saudi Arabia CV Format for Pakistani Applicants

If you are applying for a Saudi job from Pakistan, make three things easy to find: the work you have done, the qualifications you hold and where you are currently based. State your relocation availability clearly rather than copying a location from an old template.

The sample below is for an accountant. If you work in engineering, the KSA and UAE professional CV guide also covers qualification and professional-registration checks.

Start with contact details and a focused summary, followed by recent experience, relevant skills, qualifications and certifications. Put recent work first. Use consistent month-and-year dates and explain your contribution through specific tasks and outputs.

A graduate can put education and relevant projects higher. An experienced accountant should usually give recent reporting, reconciliation and controls work more room than older school results. These are editorial recommendations; an employer's required template takes priority.

Fictional accountant sample

The following candidate, employer and results are fictional.

Sara Ahmed — Accountant Karachi, Pakistan · sara.ahmed@example.com · [international-format phone] Open to relocation to Saudi Arabia · Notice period: [actual period]

Summary Accountant with four years of experience preparing reconciliations, maintaining ledgers and supporting monthly reporting. Uses Excel and accounting software to investigate differences and produce review-ready schedules.

Experience Accountant — Example Trading, Karachi · September 2022–present

  • Prepared monthly bank reconciliations and documented unresolved differences for review.
  • Maintained an invoice tracker and followed up on missing supporting documents with the operations team.
  • Standardised a month-end schedule so reviewers could trace each balance to its supporting record.

Skills Bank reconciliation, accounts payable, ledger maintenance, Excel lookups and pivot tables, [accounting software actually used].

Education and qualifications [Actual degree and awarding university] · [completion year]. [Actual professional qualification and status, if applicable].

Languages Urdu and English: [accurate proficiency]. Add Arabic only at your real level.

A qualification in progress should say so. Do not describe yourself as a fully qualified professional if you have not completed the requirements.

Write location and availability precisely

If you live in Karachi, write “Karachi, Pakistan,” not “Riyadh” because you hope to move there. “Open to relocation” describes your preference; it does not establish permission to work.

If an employer asks about a current Saudi residency or work status, answer accurately through its application form. Do not imply that you have an Iqama, transfer eligibility or immediate availability unless that is true and relevant. If the requirement is unclear, ask the recruiter through its official contact channel.

State a notice period only when you know it. “Available immediately” is unsuitable if you have employment commitments, study obligations or travel arrangements that prevent an immediate start.

Tailor to the actual vacancy

Use the posting to choose which evidence appears first. If it emphasises monthly closing, describe your closing schedules and review responsibilities. If it emphasises receivables, show relevant tracking or follow-up work.

Do not list Saudi regulatory experience that you do not have. Experience with a Pakistani process is still useful when described accurately; it should not be relabelled as local Saudi experience. The job-description tailoring guide explains how to present transferable work without inventing expertise.

Keep supporting documents separate

Degree attestation is a document-verification process. Consult HEC's official degree-attestation requirements for Pakistani qualifications and confirm the employer's current requirements. A sentence on a CV does not complete that process.

Do not put a passport number or attach identity scans to a broadly shared CV. Supply documents only when requested through a verified employer or official process. If you choose to mention attestation status, use an accurate statement such as “HEC attestation completed” only when it is completed. “In progress” is a different status.

The name and qualification on your CV should match your actual records. Resolve discrepancies through the issuing institution or relevant authority instead of changing document details informally.

Application checklist

  • Target role matches the vacancy and your experience.
  • Current city and country are truthful.
  • Qualification names and completion status are accurate.
  • Notice period and relocation wording are realistic.
  • The file type follows the portal instructions.
  • Contact details and text remain readable after export.

Use the Pakistan CV guide for the general layout and the UAE guide when preparing a separate UAE application. Create your CV after checking the vacancy requirements.

Common questions

Is a photo compulsory?

Do not assume so. Follow explicit application instructions and keep a version without a photo for general use.

Can I use one CV for both Saudi Arabia and the UAE?

Keep a common factual base, then tailor the target role, location and application details for each vacancy. Neither country has a universal CV that guarantees acceptance.
