UAE CV Format for Pakistani Applicants: A Practical Dubai Guide
A Dubai job application starts with the same question as any other: can you do the work advertised? Put the experience that answers that question near the top of your CV. Then make your current location and availability clear. If you live in Pakistan, say so.
The example below focuses on customer support. Engineers and other professionals can also use the KSA and UAE guide to check how to describe qualifications and registration.
Build the CV around the vacancy
Use contact details, a short summary, experience, skills, education and relevant certifications. Highlight the work that relates to the advertised responsibilities. A support role might need evidence of written responses, escalation handling and record quality rather than an unrelated list of software.
For a junior applicant, put relevant education or projects higher. If the employer supplies a form or asks for a specific file type, follow those instructions. A polished layout cannot replace an eligibility requirement.
Fictional customer-support sample
The candidate and employer below are fictional. Replace the details with your own records.

Summary Customer-support professional with three years of email and chat support experience. Maintains case notes, investigates order issues and prepares clear escalations for operations teams.
Experience Support Specialist — Example Commerce, Lahore · July 2023–present
- Investigated delivery queries by reviewing order records and confirming the next step with operations.
- Prepared escalation notes that separated the customer's issue, checks completed and action required.
- Updated response templates when refund instructions changed and checked them with the team lead.
Skills Email support, case documentation, escalation handling, spreadsheet filtering and [support platform actually used].
Education [Actual degree or qualification], [institution] · [year].
Languages Urdu: [actual proficiency]. English: [actual proficiency]. Arabic: [include only if applicable, at your actual level].
This sample shows work without inventing customer-satisfaction percentages. Add real measures if you can explain the reporting period, definition and your contribution.
Tailor the summary for a Dubai vacancy
Suppose a fictional vacancy asks for written customer communication and careful case records. A generic summary such as “Experienced professional seeking a good opportunity” gives little evidence.
A more useful version would be “Customer-support professional with email and chat experience, including case documentation and escalation preparation.” It reflects relevant work without claiming UAE employment that the person has never held.
For a different vacancy, the emphasis can change. Keep the underlying job history and dates accurate. Read the tailoring guide before adding keywords.
Current location, visa status and availability
State your current city and country. If you are already in the UAE and an employer asks for your visa status, describe the actual status through its specified process. A visit visa is not the same as permission to work. Avoid inferring work authorisation from your location alone.
If applying from Pakistan, “Open to relocation to the UAE” is clear. Do not claim an employment visa, local driving licence or immediate availability if you do not have it. Put questions about eligibility to the recruiter through an official channel.
Passport numbers, document scans and a full home address do not belong in a general-purpose CV that may be forwarded widely. A recruiter may request documents separately at the appropriate stage.
Degree and certificate attestation
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides an official document attestation service. Check the current route applicable to your document and confirm the employer's requirements; overseas-issued documents and eligible digital documents can follow different procedures.
For a Pakistani university qualification, consult HEC's requirements as well. Do not assume that one authority's attestation completes every step needed for a particular application.
A CV can state a completed attestation accurately, but that statement is not documentary proof. Keep qualification names and your name consistent with the official records and supply documents through the verified process when requested.
Final checks before uploading
- Confirm the role, required experience and location conditions.
- Check your phone number can receive international calls.
- Keep languages and software proficiency accurate.
- Describe actual customer work, not generic personality traits.
- Confirm that exported text remains readable and selectable.
- Use the employer's requested file format.
For general section order, see the Pakistan CV format guide. For a separate Saudi application, read the Saudi guide. Create your UAE application CV with a factual base you can tailor to each vacancy.
Common questions
Must a UAE CV contain a photo?
Check the employer's explicit instructions. We recommend keeping a version without a photo for general use rather than treating it as a universal requirement.
Should I include an expected salary?
Provide it when the application asks. Keep it out of the CV unless the vacancy requests it there; discuss the package and its terms separately.
